Led by Architect Kiko Sanchez, FGS is grounded in the utmost appreciation for classic style and architectural history. The outcomes of our work are necessarily guided by a structure’s context – its surroundings, its past, and its brilliant future.
We approach architecture with a rich awareness of regional traditions coupled with an eye for detail, innovation and function. Thorough dialogues with clients, we produce clear visions that are executed with a lasting, distinct appeal.
The scope of our intimate, custom residential work includes single-family luxury homes, renovations, additions, apartments, and condominiums as well as many thoughtful mixed-use and residential developments.
Francisco G. Sanchez, ‘Kiko’ A.I.A.
Principal
Architect Kiko Sanchez has been working in the residential field for over 20 years, focusing on classical and traditional design throughout the US and Caribbean. His body of work contains a breadth of architectural styles that provide practical solutions for the contemporary environment while still providing the reassuring familiarity of tradition and established taste. Commissions include private homes and estates, as well as masterplans, clubs, hotels and various scales of commercial and institutional projects.
The son of Cuban parents with deep roots in Havana and Camaguey, Kiko was born in Lima, Peru, and grew up in the Caribbean city of Caracas, Venezuela. He moved to the United States to study architecture at Columbia University and Pratt Institute in New York City. His interest for immersion into both regional building traditions and the lessons of masterworks has served him immensely in both academic and professional fields.
Prior to founding FGS Design, Kiko worked with the award-winning architectural offices of Fairfax & Sammons in New York, and Brower Architectural Associates in Palm Beach, where he helped design and manage projects in New York City, Palm Beach, The Bahamas, Long Island and Europe.
Kiko is a member of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art and the American Institute of Architects.
